Tottenham dominated for 85 minutes: Van de Ven unlocked the game in 39′ with a tap-in on a rebound by the opposing goalkeeper, and Romero doubled it in 48′ with a header taken in favor of Friuli.
But the finale is the stuff of legends: at 85′ Lee Kang-In shortens with a left-footer from outside the box. Then, at 94′, Gonçalo Ramos took advantage of a perfect cross from Dembélé and equalized with a header, reversing the result and taking the match to penalties.
